Resident Evil – September, 2010

Posted by Sze

I really can't wait to see one of my favorite science fiction action horror movie sequels - Resident Evil: After Life (the 4th one) that's scheduled to come out on September 10, 2010.

I'm fascinated by the action, the story line and the female heroic character - Alice (starring Milla Jovovich). Plus, Wentworth Miller from Prison Break will be in it as well! How cool is that!

If you don't remember the 1st one or have never watched it before, you can click the video below for a fast and cute version. You'll like it even though you have seen the movie version. At least I do.

Betty Kwan Chinn has been serving the homeless and the less fortunate people in Eureka, CA for the last 20 something years except yesterday. She was in the White House presented the Presidential Citizens Metal by President Barack Obama.

"Who else is more deserving?” said Chinn's neighbor

Chinn was nominated by her neighbor - Tim Wozny in Eureka, CA. Wozny said that he gets up at 5:30 a.m. every day, just in time to see Chinn set off on her daily rounds, and sees her come home around 9 p.m.,

The Social Network Parodies

Posted by Sze

The Social Network movie is not even out until October, but its parodies are here already. Someone has made a trailer for MySpace called "The Other Social Network" that re-images the 1st trailer of The Social Network. There's another one for YouTube called "The Video Website" that mimics the 2nd trailer. They're both well made I have to say.

This is an update on my post on July 13, 2010 regarding social media. This one has more up-to-date information. I believe the answer is a revolution if you only look at how much time you spend online and where you go when you need information.

Now, think about how social media can really help you with what you do or your business and make the most out of it.

Jailbreak Me Now!

Posted by Sze

I saw my friend's facebook status today saying that he finally found out how to jailbreak his iPhone 4. He was very excited but I thought the jailbreak had been available a little while ago. I believe he must be talking about jailbreakme 2.0 that just came out.

It's a lot easier and free

Fortunately, comex from the Dev-team released jailbreakme 2.0 yesterday, you can now jailbreak not only the iPhone 4, but any iPhone running iOS 4.0.1 or below and any iPad running iOS 3.2.1 or below right from MobileSafari. You don't even need to use a PC or

Google, Where is your stand on China?

Posted by Sze

In January, Google announced that its corporate network had been attacked by “highly sophisticated” and coordinated hackers. They had stolen intellectual property and sought access to the Gmail accounts of human rights activists. This attack was originated from China. As a result, Google stopped all the censorship on Google China and threatened to leave China.

I Like Google

Google had become the corporate hero to a lot of people by how they weren't afraid of the Chinese government and their support on freedom of speech and information

Are Print Books Officially Dead? Not Yet

Posted by Sze

With the high sales of iPad, Kindle and all other ebook devices,  Amazon predicts that e-books are going to out sell the printed books by the end of 2011. The largest online book seller added that it sells 180 ebooks for every hardcovers, and the ratio is increasing. Therefore, are print books dead yet?

eBooks vs. Print Books

Since most ebook devices or alike can hold hundred of books, there's no doubt that it's easier to carry a device and read your books anywhere you go. Moreover, some ebooks have special features such as exclusive interviews with the authors that print books

Un-Marketing

Posted by Sze

I came across this book from an ad on Mashable.com today. It's called Un-Marketing: Stop Marketing, Start Engaging by Scott Stratten coming out in September 2010. The ad comes from Wiley's Social Media Resources and it shows 16 books and this is one of them. It caught my attention with its name. I'm a marketer so I'm curious to see how someone is going to un-market.

Another Social Media book?

Since I owned 2 that's on the Wiley's list (it had nothing to do with the list), I was wondering if another one is going to worth it. The description begins with "For generations, marketing has been hypocritical. We've been taught to market to others in ways we hate being marketed to (cold-calling, flyers, ads, etc.).

US Government: It’s Legal To Jailbreak Your iPhone

Posted by Sze

U.S. Government declared yesterday that it's legal to jailbreak or hack your iPhone. They said that there was "no basis for copyright law to assist Apple in protecting its restrictive business model."

Pros & Cons

After you jailbreak or hack your iPhone OS, you can download underground app from Cydia that are not authorized nor available with Apple. You can also then unlock your iPhone so you can use any service provider other than AT&T. It's really

My other favorite Marc (besides Marc Newson)

Marc Jacobs is an American fashion designer who owns his own fashion brand called Marc Jacobs, and a more causal line called Marc by Marc Jacobs. He's also the Creative Director of Louis Vuitton.
